BioShock 2: Big Daddy Ultra Deluxe Action Figure

Big Daddy is fantastic!
I just opened this figure today and am very impressed with it. I have never played the video game, Bioshock, but I am a fan of NECA and their excellent action figures. The paint on this figure is flawless. There are several layers of colors being used to create many convincing materials making up the character's suit. All the details that could be included have been painstakingly sculpted here, with great results. I have read several reviews here about this figure not being able to stand. I have not experienced any problems standing this toy up. He is very heavy and solid. Huge boots give it a stable platform to balance all of that weight. Maybe some of the other reviewers have not discovered the usable articulation for this figure. He has hinge pins at the shoulders, with a decent range of motion. He has ball hinges at the elbows and the knees, allowing both bending and rotation. The hips can swivel forward and back, but are a bit restricted by the belt. Finally, the ankles are ball hinged as well! They provide a great range of motion to keep this figure standing in many poses. NECA could not have done a better job engineering such an odd figure, and keeping it mobile. I recommend this big guy 100%.

It won't stand up!
This figure looks great, and it is weighty and well detailed. The problem? It won't stand up--which makes the whole idea of an action figure (even just for display) kind of pointless. If you really want to display the figure standing up, don't take it out of the packaging. I sincerely hope the BioShock 2 action figures will be crafted in a more customer-friendly way.

For anyone who did not get the Bioshock LE or was a late-comer to the series, this toy does not disappoint. It is a massive figure with amazing detail worked into every part of it. For any Bioshock fan this is a must have.

Awesome but disappointing
After opening the package and actually touching the product I can say that it's a quality piece and doesn't look visually cheap either. The only issue I have with the Big Daddy is that he doesn't stand up! There's no way you can get him to stand unless you make the legs look like he has ultra bad charlie horse cramps. Even then if you even so much as breathe on him he goes down. I'll have to resort to velcro on his feet to keep him up but other than that it's so nice in presentation that I would definitely recommend this guy.

Big Daddy Better Than LE One
I LOVE THIS thing i missed out on the LE with the first game came out and was desperately looking for a big daddy figure to buy i'm glad i waited this thing is amazing. looks better and more durable than the LE one and is much much bigger i recommend it to any Bioshock fan and these are on a limited run so buy while you can
