Hasbro Operation

a topy with stayng power
This older version of the Operation game is still lots of fun and not as goofy as the newer versions...honestly, Sponge Bob Squarepants Operation game???? Is nothing sacred!

Old Skool Toys Rule!
Operation was one on my faves when I was younger. It is still the same hapless guy on the table waiting for unnerved (and lowly skilled) "doctors" to go to work on him. The "Brain Freeze" is the new addition, which is cool with me. (no pun intended) It brings back so many fond memories and lets me know my skills definitely have diminished. Be that as it may, a fun time will be had by all!

Orginial Is Still The BEST!!!!
So glad to be able to find the orginal Operation Game board on Amazon.com!!!! You cannot find it to purchase in stores in our area! After playing with the orginal Operation Game, and then the newer improved one...we do prefer the orginal Operation Game above the new version. Thanks for having it available for us to purchase!! The orginal Operation is still the excellent one in our books!!!

Fun game, EVEN FOR MY 2 YEAR OLD
My whole family enjoys this game. My wife and I play with my 2 and 3 year old. The only difference is that we allow them to touch the sides (and sound the buzzer) as much as they need to in order to get the piece. They think it's absolutely hilarious.
It is certainly a cheap game, but it should last for years as long as you don't accidentally sit on it. You can expect much from a product that costs the same as an appetizer...
Overall, we really enjoy the game and it has remained as charming as it was when I was a kid.

Classic fun
My children (now in their 30's) loved this game as kids and any time there is a family gathering, it is one of the top choices to play. That is when we have a game with all the parts. Is there a place to get replacement parts for the game?

Surely countless medical careers have been launched because of this humorous game. The Operation game board features Sam the patient, lying atop a red plastic "operating table" with 12 body cavities exposed. Players perform highly skilled procedures with a pair of tweezers such as removing a broken heart or butterflies in the stomach. This kind of surgery requires a steady hand! Doctors must remove the offending body part without touching the metal lining of the cavity. Touch the metal edge, and you'll set off the buzzer and make Sam's nose light up. Then the designated Specialist steps in--for double the fee! If you're playing solo, try performing all 12 operations without getting zapped. Two AA batteries are required. Operation is for one or more players. --Elizabeth Ward
