Homestyle Kitchen Center

Great value, great fun for 2-year-old
My 2-year-old loves this little kitchen. It doesn't have lots of features like more expensive kitchens, but for the cost, this kitchen is great. It took us 2 hours to put it together but you do not have to worry about cutting the pieces out if you have the proper tool. Use a wire cutter and the pieces will be smooth. You should not be using scissors to cut out these plastic pieces.

Excellent little kitchen
I just bought this kitchen at walmart today for my 1 yr old. I got home and my husband started to put it together. Yes it does take a while. Two hours to be exact. Is it hard, not really. Just time consuming. I would definitely purchase this again. As far as the sharp edges of the pieces. Just use a wire cutters and a pair of scissors to round off the edges. I have no rough edges on mine pot and pans. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles of more expensive kitchens, but the burners do make a boiling noise and a sizzling noise when you place the pots. It's lightweight and not to big and bulky. My daughter hasn't stopped playing with it since daddy was done putting it together. She loves It!!

It's going to be a long night.
I bought this on sale at [...] for . I wanted to get my 3 year old her first kitchen set, but I didn't want to pay 0 for something that I knew she would take a marker/crayon to.
We waited until she was asleep for the night before putting this together. As soon as you open the box, you will see sheets of plastic pieces that will need to be cut out, much like a model kit. Some of the edges were sharp so we had to sand them to smooth them out and some of the pieces (oven door, microwave door) were misshaped, so we had to improvise.
After spending 3+ hours putting the kitchen set together, we were very pleased with the outcome. If you're not a 'Do it yourself' kind of person then you will HATE this product. My husband and I actually enjoyed working on this little project together. It's kind of flimsy, but it's an ideal first kitchen set.

nice toy, but difficult to assemble
Took me over 2 hours to assemble this toy...had to keep shooing my kid to the next room so she won't walk away with any of the pieces...
Like everyone else who dislike the assembling part, I was quite disappointed to see a bunch of plastic pieces stuck together in "clusters" that I had to physically cut apart b4 attempting to assemble...this took FOREVER, not to mention finding the right piece that matches the instruction AND making sure after it's cut out that it doesn't get lost!!
why couldn't the manufacturer put the modules together into larger, assembled pieces and all parents have to do is put together those modules (ie fridge, stove, microwave etc) onto the frame itself? Why make it so difficult for us to have to start "from scratch" in cutting out EACH INDIVIDUAL plastic piece from various clusters? And what I find even more terrible is that we have to also put those stickers that indicate where the switches are on the dish washer, microwave etc...can't they put that together b4 shipping it out?
If it weren't for the price I would not have gotten this item. But even so, the saving is not enough to justify the time it takes to assemble this thing, especially when you have a kid waiting impatiently to play w/ it...I jammed several fingers w/ the screw driver as I was trying to keep my kid happy and assemble this thing at the same time...

HomeStyle Kitchen
Well I must say my wife and I bought our son a cheap Kitchen set that came un assembled and it was very flimsy and not sturdy. We just recently Today! Bought the Homestyle Kitchen. I assembled it with no problem. Sir it was a lil time consuming but it was fun. As for the sharp problem i quickly took my drimol drill and filed the edges with no sharp edges. My son love this toy it even makes sounds. It has open doors that really open and close. I recommend this product to those who want to get a good quality product made in the USA..
