Moby Wrap Baby Carrier-PACIFIC-Limited Edition Color

LOVE IT!!!!
I love this wrap. At first I thought it would be hard to put on or that it would be hard on my back but neither concern has become a problem. I also was concerned that it wouldn't be long enough to fit my plus size waist, but again, no problem.
I started wearing my baby when he was 2weeks old and he loved it. He would ball up in this wrap like when he was in the womb and he would stay there for hours....or until his next feeding. My son is 8weeks old now and every time I go shopping he rides in it and still loves it. He stays content for hours. I have even let my 11 year old daughter wear it and she carries him around the house with her. My favorite thing is that when I go out to eat I can put him in this wrap and he never fusses...no more car seat holders in the aisle for strange people to approach the baby. Also, I feel that when I go shopping I have less people approach me as well...which equates to less germs near my baby. Also it allows me to be hands free...enough said. I can't say enough good things about this wrap. I have two...for those times when one is in the wash. It will be my go-to gift for any baby shower. Must have!

Love the moby wrap!!!
My son is one month and has been in horrible pain from reflux and gas. Last night (and this morning) he was nearly inconsolable (crying on and off for at least an hour), yet as soon as I wrapped him up in the moby wrap...he was quiet and asleep within minutes!!! He has had problems sleeping, so this was a relief! I must say it didn't help *me* get any sleep because now I have a baby strapped to my chest and I can't really fall asleep sitting up.
It's also super comfortable and doesn't hurt my back or shoulders.
I will say it was frustrating at first, but if you just watch the videos and keep it tightly wrapped to your body..it will be fine!
I've also been able to vacuum and pick up around the house which I haven't really been able to do too much of since he arrived.
I love having my baby close to me...although it is a little warm, but nothing too bad....it is to be expected though.
It's definatley worth the purchase and I reccommend this to everyone...esp if you have a fussy baby.

wow!
Wow! I'm so happy I bought that. i wear it almost all day long, so I can have my hands free. My son is 1 month old and he loves that too.

Safely Snuggled Baby = Happy Mommy!
I bought this for our third baby. We have 2 very active little boys who are 3 and 5 and we added a girl to our brood. We bought a Balboa Baby Sling and really liked it, but it was harder on me than my husband. I am "shorter than average" at 5'2", but have a short torso even for my height. This has always presented a challenge for slings because I am *ahem* top heavy, as well. HotSlings and other pocket slings never worked - by the time I found one that could acomodate my chest, our daughter was hanging at my thighs and wasn't secure. I loved the Balboa baby carrier, but even on the shortest setting, it put a lot of the baby's weight on my lower back. With the Moby wrap, you wrap it to fit YOU, so it's always the right size. My husband is 9 inches taller than I am and he can wear it, take it off, and hand it to me. I just re-wrap it. There are no "but I just got it to the perfect size" moments, which I LOVE. I perfected 3 carries in about 20 minutes with our 6 month old. I will add that 1.) I had already gotten used to different carries with our Balboa sling; 2.) our baby has been worn since she was born, so she was very patient and actually seemed excited once we started trying the wrap styles with her; 3.) I did it right after she has nursed when we didn't need to go anywhere, so there was no pressure to hurry up and figure it out. I can see where it may look daunting, but seriously, I am clumsy and a perfectionist, and I felt very comfortable after going to the Moby website and getting instructions on wraps and holds. Because you can smooth the fabric out across your back, the weight distribution is AMAZING. I wish they would invest something like this for pregnancy! I don't feel any "tugging" on my shoulders, or that dull ache in my lower back. It's really nifty.
It *is* a bit warm, but honestly, you're baby-wearing. Babies are like little furnaces. You're only going to get so much air, right?
All in all, I love this thing. It IS just a long stretchy piece of fabric, but it's made grocery shopping, taking walks, chaotic fundraising events at Chuck E. Cheese, and just about every thing else a bit easier. I am probably going to buy another one just so I can ALWAYS have one ready in the event of diaper blow-out or other childhood-associated catastrophe. :-)

Like the moby, hate the color!
I thought this "Pacific" was more of a blue color, but it's more of a dark teal green. Not happy but didn't want the hassle of an exchange. The reviews are true... it looks intimidating at first, but then you get the hang of it. Of course, it's basically just one long strip of stretchy fabric!

The design of the Moby Wrap uses your entire back, as well as your shoulders, to carry the weight of your baby. Unlike other carriers, which have narrow straps or go across one shoulder, the Moby Wrap is a wide piece of fabric that is wrapped over both shoulders. It is amazingly comfortable and easy to wear. There are no buckles, snaps or other fasteners. It is easy to adjust the fit of your Moby Wrap by varying how tightly you wrap yourself and your baby.
