Sleepy Wrap Classic Wrap Baby Carrier, Gray, 0-18 Months

I rarely write a review on a product but this is one that I cannot keep to myself. I discovered the sleepy wrap with our second child and wish I would have for our first! I tried so many various slings & carriers that it isn't even funny. I never found the level of comfort for me or the baby that I was searching. With the Sleepy Wrap I was comfortable, the baby was comfortable and everyone was content. For the first year of his life I used the Sleepy Wrap instead of a stroller almost 100% of the time. It only took me one or two tries to get used to the tying method and before long it was only involved seconds to wrap, tie & scoot the little fella in. I have a repetitive use shoulder injury that the other slings and carriers would aggravate in a short period of time carrying the baby. I never had a problem with the Sleepy Wrap. It was easy to adjust and wear for hours. I wore the little guy to the County Fair, Kennywood (a local amusement park), shopping, at the beach, and around the house. In warm weather I had no problems with being overly warm, I dressed to acount for the extra layer of fabric (which is quite breathable).
Altogether I couldn't be happier with the Sleepy Wrap and look forward to using it with our on the way third child. Two thumbs up all around!!

Best of all I have tried
I have never felt compelled to write a review. This product however got me so excited that I had to share. During pregnancy (my first) I had decided against this wrap, worried about the wrapping process and living in a warm, no HOT, climate. I registered for the Bjorn instead. I like the Bjorn for an older baby to face outward, still do, in spite of the pressure points on my shoulders.
When my son was born, we ran out to get the Infantino, since the Bjorn would not work with such a little guy. The Infantino just was not for us. The material did not feel good and the sling did not feel natural against my body. (and my son grew out of it within a month)
My son is a large baby (20 lbs at 5 months), so I am now shopping for items that can grow with him for a while. This wrap seems to meet that expectation.
I wish I had gotten the Sleepy Wrap right away. I had to find a solution for moving around the airport with my son, now 5 months old. So I got it. The Sleepy Wrap gives me the flexibility to do little things around the house while he naps. I can hug him at all times and he seems perfectly content. (for those of us in a warm climate,....it does get a little warm and sweaty inside the wrap, next time I will dress him with fewer layers).
The instructions are simple, I was able to wrap myself right away.
I am so glad I did get it eventually. I will use this as shower gift of choice!!!

I love my sleepy wrap.
I love this wrap. My baby loves it as well. He falls asleep in it as soon as I put him in and sometimes will sleep in it for hours. It is very easy to use. I takes a bit longer to put on than other carriers but, it is worth it. It is very comfortable to wear. My 35 lb toddler fits in it. It doesn't work well to carry her in front of me like that but, you could definitly use it until a baby gets pretty big. It works very well for doing housework because the baby stays against your body anddoesnt fall forward like in other carriers.

A very good baby wrap, but not suitable for hot climates
I love this wrap. We use it from the day our son was born, and I am sorry we didn't have it with our first one.

PROs: a good quality wrap, my kid loves it, it can be worn in many different ways, and adjusted to your kid's development level. My son have never cried while inside the wrap! He can "sit" there for hours! It is perfect for infants as well. Wraps are more ergonomic than sit-in slings, and orthopedically healthier for both parents and kids. I don't feel his weight in this wrap (he is about 6+ kg now). My hands are totally free! My son stops crying the moment he sees the wrap in my hands and awaits patiently for me to wear it :-)

CONs: it's too hot for an Israeli summer!!! It's too long for a small sized woman, I have to wrap the free ends around me several times (which makes it even more hot), so they won't hang down too long and make me a target for my cats :-) It's a one-sized wrap. It takes a minute to wrap, sometimes the kid is not that patient :-)

SO glad I found this item!
Wow. I wish I had this for my first child. I was able to follow the instructions easily and wore my baby within a few minutes on my first try. I am plus sized and ample bosomed, and I have back pain issues... none of these factors got in the way of using the wrap and loving my baby. : )
