The vibrating unit only operates if it is within a few INCHES of the main unit. I cannot place it under the mattress as the directions state because even that short distance is too far. It was a useless purchase.
Great idea, terrible product
I researched for days and since there were so few crib vibrators I thought this would be better than nothing. Turns out it's not. The whole thing is worthless. Only stays on for a couple of mins, the sounds are just aweful, the light is the only feature that's "as advertised".
It claims to have a "cry detector". Only time it ever worked was when a door accidentally slammed shut. The whole product is a total made-in-china crapp product. Save the money and buy a good noisemaker.
TERRIBLE!!!
Worked great when it was sitting in my lap, but as soon as I put it under the mattress the vibrator would not work! I tried moving the baby's monitor, moving the unit to the other end of the crib, completely unplugging the monitor and nothing worked! Sending this one back.

Disappointed
We had a Playard with a vibration unit and it worked so well that I wanted to have vibration for the crib as well. However, this product did not work. If the vibration unit was more than 2 inches from the base unit, it stopped working. I called the company and they said that the problem was due to interference and it could be from a baby monitor, cordless phone, hair dryer, the neighbors, or just about anything. Yet my cordless phone and baby monitor work and this product does not. The company suggested that I return it to the retailer. The music is also poor quality so I would not recommend it for that either. Very disappointing.

I use this mainly for the vibration mode. My baby (now 4m) has been using it since 1m old & loves it. Wish I had had it for my 1st 2 babies!!
It's easy to use, easy to move around to different cribs, & also easy to travel/fly with.
To keep it simple & reduce the interference/battery issues, I just keep the vibration unit wrapped in a soft blanket, sitting in the far corner of the top of the mattress. I keep the control unit sitting right next to it. It gives a soft vibration, doesn't rattle & doesn't loose reception. It does what it's designed to do!!
