Great Eye Opener
I ordered this book by suggestion of my therapist. It was a great way for me to put labels to things I was experiencing as a new mother. It has great "quizes" for the couples to take and compare and then walks through how to apply the results to their day to day lives. It has improved my relationship with my husband and even helped me be a better mom! I really suggest this book!

Still not sure how I feel
I think there is a lot of interesting info in this book, and helpful ideas and activities for a couple facing the transition to Parenthood. But it felt like it focused more on just the marriage relationship than the new family dynamic, and sometimes was a bit heavy on the activity sort of stuff. There's not really anything bad about it, and it doesn't need to be avoided, I'm just not sure it was necessary or SO helpful, you know? Still, overall glad I read it with my husband.

Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work Revisited
I LOVED the book Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work. Unfortunately, this book is simply a remake of that one. Many of the stories are identical, and not much of the information is new. There are a couple chapters related specifically to having a baby, but you could read them quickly at the library without purchasing the book. If you haven't read the other book, this book would be great -- just don't buy both!!

GREAT, saved our marriage
This book provides the essential strategies to keeping a happy marriage, once the baby arrives! I hate to think where we would be without it.

excellent book!
My husband and I are expecting our first child and as a therapist I am very aware of how often couples begin to report a decline in marital satisfaction after they have a child, this book is very well written and is full of excellent material!
