Love this book!
I received this book as a baby gift about a week after my son was born. I started flipping through it thinking that I really didn't need another book on the coffee table, but to my surprise, I couldn't put this down!!! It touches on so many topics and very straightforward answers. I wish I had this before my son was born! I liked it so much I bought one as a baby shower gift and will be my standard gift from now on. Every new mother should be armed with this book!

Essential Reading for First Time Parents
This IS your Baby Owner's Manual! I give it as a gift to anyone I know is expecting. Tons of useful information, but enjoyable to read-not like a textbook.

Good information, poor format for kindle
I have the paperback version of baby bargains and enjoyed the format very much that I decided to purchase baby 411 for my ipod using the Kindle reader. I do not know if it is because it is the ipod, but the format does not flow, you will be reading something and it abruptly starts another subject, then continues 4 pages down the line with the other subject. I know because they like to use balloons/ text boxes for lots of information, but it makes for disorganized reading. The paperback would have been a better choice but I love using the kindle reader on my ipod for novels, I just don't like this format.

Great book. Provides lots of good info.
I got this book to prepare for my baby in March so I haven't tested out any of the information out but it has provided me an idea of what to expect without making me feel overwhelmed.

Great Resource for Parents!
I purchased this book for a good friend because I found it super useful myself. I had already passed my own personal copy on to another friend after we moved up to Toddler 411. I love the way this book is written. They have great information combined with a sense of humor! Our pediatrican had recommended NOT to reference What to Expect the First Year (which was curious since my OB had requested that we not reference What to Expect When You're Expecting) and when we mentioned this book at a recent visit she responded positively. I highly recommend this book as a gift for new parents. Even better, give them the set: Baby 411 and Toddler 411!
