I Kissed the Baby!

LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
I LOVE this book. I read it to my seven month old and he laughs when I start kissing him like the mother in the book kisses her baby. He loves the black and white pages (even now that he can see colors well) and he loves the yellow duckling.

Great visual stimulation for infants
My 10-week-old daughter loves it when I get this book out. She enjoys hearing my voice while she stares at the bright contrasts. It's a great activity for us. Plus, she always gets a kiss, because you can't read a book called "I kissed the baby" without smothering your own little one with kisses!

Perfect for newborns
My two month old son absolutely loves this book. Simple illustrations with high contrast and text which scream for interaction from mommy and daddy are a winner in my book. He listens when we read him Goodnight Moon, he opens his mouth wide with glee when we read I Kissed the Baby.

Adorable Baby Book
Wonderful text and great images for young eyes, this is one of my 6-month-old daughter's favorite books. I recite it to her even when we don't have it handy and she grins!

Cute and quotable
Yes, it's simple, but our baby loves to look at it, watch us turn the hardboard pages, and listen to us read it over and over again. We find ourselves using phrases even when we're not reading to him, since they express our own feelings so well. And (whether the author will approve, I'm not sure) it's sort of a nice model for teaching yourself how to make a book of your own that your baby will love!
