I Wished for You: an Adoption Story (Mom’s Choice Award Recipient, Book of the Year Award, Creative Child Magazine)

Opened Doors of Conversation
This book was awesome for beginning conversations with my two sons. They had been placed with me for adoption and we were rapidly approaching the final adoption. If I asked them questions about how they felt about it, I got shutdown. By reading this book together with each of them separately, they began to talk and ask questions. This book is awesome for easing into difficult subjects and for giving me the right words to explain to them that they are my Wish Come True!! Reading this book may have been the first time they really believed me. Fantastic!!

gift well received
received well, it would be nice to have a male verson, with Father not Mother,
Just a thought

Good for adopted child.
This book was recommended as a book to read to adopted children. My daughter loved it for her son. It arrived in very short time and was of good quality.

Simply Beautiful!
I just received this today and read it with great anticipation. It was everything I hoped for and more. As an adoptive parent this addresses the difficult questions we all anticipate with simplistic and loving words that every child can understand and every parent can appreciate. My daughter knows her story which keeps growing as she grows, but I think when the time is right this book will open up new dialogue between us. This book seems equally good for domestic or international adoption. I will also mention that this book references god as having a role in adoption. As I am spiritual this is not a problem but I do think it is worth mentioning. A great addition to my child's library.

Love this book!
Love, love, love this book. It's a must have for any child's adoption book collection!
