Not the best.
This Bible was very disappointing for me. I bought it because I loved the illustrations and the stories seemed neither too simple or overly complex. When I got it home and started reading it to my children, I found that the stories were so descriptive and very often would just miss the point entirely. The wording ended up changing the overall attitudes of the characters, making them sound either stupid, or just plain foolish (ex. Sarah and Abraham), so I ended up having to skip or change the wording myself as I read it. Also, like another reviewer, I was surprised at all of the allusions to sex in a book for young children. I believe the Bible as truth, and know it happened, but I have to skip all of those parts because my children are way too young to hear about that. Again, it could have been fine had it been worded differently. I am looking for another Bible. The one I had, that isn't available on Amazon, that I loved was the Children's Every Day Bible. I would definitely recommend that Children's Bible over this rather boring one.
Lovely artwork
I got this bible for my God Daughter, and I think she will love it.
The artwork is whimsical and enchanting, and the verses are in language that is easy for a child to understand.
My kids love this Bible!
I got this because our toddler Bibles were just not wordy enough for my 5 and 3 year olds. This is a good introduction to the actual Bible written so they can relate. My boys are just not old enough to understand a lot of what is in my Bible version and this is a good book to get them ready. We still use my version for memorization, this is just in story form only.
Wonderful Bible
This is a wonderful Bible for kids. The illustrations are beautiful. My five year old looks forward to me reading from it every night.
