Great Dictionary for kids!
I bought this for my 3rd grader to help her with some of her spelling homework. Not only was it easy to use, it actually motivated her. She loves looking up different words! So far, there hasn't been a word we couldn't find in here.

It's an amazing dictonary it has a few words that are not on it, but overall is great.
My daughter is using this dictionary constantly to learn how to spell and write, and she loves it.
My daughter is in Kindergarten and needed a dictionary to help her with the occasional homework assignment as well as to satisfy her curiosity about words. I purchased this dictionary, and I hoped she would take to it. She really enjoys using this dictionary. She likes looking at the pictures interspersed throughout the dictionary, and I appreciate that the definitions are the right length and level for the audience. This will take her through elementary school easily. Great reference book for the price!
Highly disappointed
Purchased this book for my 4th grader. Yesterday she brought home a dozen words that she needed to look up in a dictionary and write the definition. THIS DICTIONARY HAD ONLY ONE OF THE WORDS. Since I had just recently purchased this book, I will be returning it. Not a good dictionary for children at all. Thought I was getting the best when I bought Webster's. Highly disappointed.

Designed as a transition dictionary for readers in late-elementary school, Webster's New World Children's Dictionary bridges the gap between simple, picture-based dictionaries and the dull-but-necessary ones we all reach for when faced with unknown words.
