Better Than It Looks
We bought our 2-year-old the superMOPI xl for Christmas -- It's red and blue for a boy. When we opened it, we could not understand how this cheap looking plastic thing got good reviews or cost . It took our son about 30 seconds to show us. He absolutely loves it! It is unbelievable how fast he can scoot around our house and driveway on this thing. He is only 2 years old, but he can manuever this this thing like a racing pro. DO NOT let your initial impression fool you. Give it to a 2-year-old and stand back.

I got this toy for my 18 month old daughter for Christmas, and she loves it! It is easy for her to steer and move. Unlike other riding toys I had for my older son, this one is easy to push with their feet on both carpet and hardwood floors. (Actually, the 3 year old loves it too, but it is too short for him in reality.) I agree, the thing looks pretty cheap when you first get it, but seeing how well she rides and steers the toy, I'm a believer. It's a GREAT riding toy!

...first off; I have to confess that I have not given this to my niece yet...
...I'm actually reluctant to...I am embarassed to say that I paid + tax and shipping and handling for this tawdry looking piece of junk!!!
...who knows? ... maybe it'll turn out she loves it & if so I'll come back on here and revise my review -- but for right now I can tell you that I will definitely be getting her something else for Christmas in addition to this thing which appears to me to be (for all intents and purposes) an unintended gag gift!!!
Great piece of overpriced plastic
My 16 month old daughter already had a Radio Flyer Tiny Trike, but she didn't like it because her feet kept bumping into the front wheel assembly whenever she tried to scoot. I was really impressed by the videos on youtube of the 3 year old riding this push bike ride-on toy. Initially, 50 dollars seemed like a lot for a chunk of plastic so I looked around for something like it and closest was the Winther Mini Viking Safety Scooter, but the Winther costs 0!
The great thing about the SuperMOPI is that it is just about perfect ergonomically for 1.5 year old. It's lightweight, so easy for a toddler to maneuver. The wheels are fast and the steering is incredibly intuitive and responsive, which makes it really fun. I would recommend this toy over any tricycle.
