Fun addition to set
This set includes three trains and three pieces of straight Trackmaster track. Like all Trackmaster, the cars are plastic, not wood like the traditional Thomas line. They connect together with white plastic eye hooks.
The Carnival Box Car is simply a car with a colorful clown graphic.
The Refreshments Car can snap off the black base. I guess to simulate an actual refreshment stand? The red awning can also be lifted up to reveal the people inside or snap close. My young son had a hard time putting the car back onto the base, but he is 20 months. An older child wouldn't have any problem.
The Clown Car was an unexpected surprise. While zipping around the track the clown will slide in and out of the tent on the car.
Growing Minds
My 5 year old grandson loves Thomas the tank engine and creates action stories that pertain to all of his trains. Although it doesn't do anything, Rosie's Fun Fair Special is another item that has challenged his mind. It is as much fun for me to watch him creating situations in which all his engines participate.
